Private Guided Excursions

I am available to lead nature hikes, birding, and photo excursions throughout the Keweenaw and greater Upper Peninsula (UP) of Michigan. All private guided excursions are led exclusively by me. For guided excursions, I specialize in photographing the amazing diversity of wildlife and night skies of the UP, hiking, and snowshoeing.

Workshops

I am available to provide educational ecology, night sky, and photographic workshops throughout the Keweenaw and greater Upper Peninsula (UP) of Michigan. For workshops, I specialize in teaching about the wildlife, night skies, and ecology of the UP.

Additional Information

I’m a UP native and am quite knowledgeable about the ecology and history of the region and have led nature hikes, outdoor excursions, and workshops in all seasons for 20 years. Every time I go out for hikes or photography, I strive to enjoy my time outdoors, deeply appreciate the beauty that surrounds me, get engaging pictures, and behave respectfully in the field. When on a guided excursion, my hope is that person will have a really good time while learning something about their own photography and the natural or cultural history of the region…not to mention getting some great pictures and developing new skills that can be practiced and honed on their own.
